AMPLATZER™ Product Certification Training
Using the SimSuite® medical simulator, physicians can become certified to implant AMPLATZER™ occluders to treat ASD and PFO and to close the left atrial appendage.
Interventional Cardiologists seeking Certification to implant the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder and Cribriform Occluder, AMPLATZER PFO Occluder and AMPLATZER Cardiac Plug.

The AMPLATZER Product Certification Training program provides attendees with a hands-on simulation training experience for no-risk, multi-case familiarization with the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder, Cribriform Occluder, PFO Occluder, and Cardiac Plug. Didactic and product training occurs in a small group setting fostering discussion and additional learning opportunities. With only a maximum of five physicians in attendance at each course and a St. Jude Medical Amplatzer Product Physician Proctor, ensuring an effective learning experience.

- Be familiar with the proper use of the AMPLATZER products and the accessory items necessary to perform the procedures
- Meet requirements toward certification to implant AMPLATZER products

St. Jude Medical (SJM) is certified to follow the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) and its training courses are compliant with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics. As permitted by AdvaMed, course instructors are compensated and reimbursed for reasonable travel-related expenses. Also in accordance with AdvaMed, spouses and guests are prohibited from attending training courses, and no CME credit is provided to participants.
This education program contains training on the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder and Cribriform Occluder along with the AMPLATZER accessory items necessary to perform the procedures. No product training on the use of investigational devices will be conducted during these courses.
