Course Description

The AMPLATZER Product Certification Training program provides attendees with a hands-on simulation training experience for no-risk, multi-case familiarization with the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder and Cribriform Occluder. Didactic and product training occurs in a small group setting fostering discussion and additional learning opportunities. Each one day course involves only a maximum of five physicians and a St. Jude Medical Amplatzer Product Physician Proctor, ensuring an effective learning experience.

Course Agenda

• One-on-one hands-on simulation procedural training
  
• ASD didactic and hands-on product training
• Proctor presentation with open discussion
• Echocardiographic and fluoroscopic imaging techniques
• Tour of the manufacturing facility
  

Course Fees

Included in course price:

• Roundtrip, economy airfare to and from the attendee’s home city to Plymouth, Minnesota. Travel arrangement information will be sent upon course registration. Mileage reimbursement is available for those within driving distance to the course.
• All course fees.
• One night hotel accommodation.
• A dinner stipend the evening before the course. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided the day of the course.
• All ground transportation as arranged by St. Jude Medical.

Upon Completion of the Course Attendees will:

• Be familiar with the proper use of the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder and Cribriform Occluder and the accessory items necessary to perform the procedures as recommended by St. Jude Medical.
• Meet requirements toward certification to implant AMPLATZER Septal Occluder and Cribriform Occluder

St. Jude Medical (SJM) is certified to follow the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) and its training courses are compliant with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics. As permitted by AdvaMed, course instructors are compensated and reimbursed for reasonable travel-related expenses. Also in accordance with AdvaMed, spouses and guests are prohibited from attending training courses, and no CME credit is provided to participants.

This education program contains training on the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder and Cribriform Occluder along with the AMPLATZER accessory items necessary to perform the procedures. No product training on the use of investigational devices will be conducted during these courses.
