This video presents a brief discussion with two of the main authors of the largest multicenter retrospective study recently published on the clinical performance of the St. Jude Medical ICD lead. In their evaluation, Drs. Porterfield and Corbisiero have demonstrated that the incidence of lead adverse events in the Riata™ family of ICD leads was considerably rare (less than 1% for each type of adverse event) and within the range of what is considered clinically acceptable.
