SCA Awareness: Resources and Education Tools for Providers

Heart Rhythm Society | October 23, 2009

The Heart Rhythm Society's (HRS) new Apples and Oranges campaign is helping the public understand differences between a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) — vital knowledge, since according to a recent survey issued by HRS, more than 70 percent of Americans not only underestimate the seriousness of SCA, but also believe SCA is a type of heart attack.

To help create an ongoing conversation with patients, HRS is providing valuable resources for healthcare professionals on the subject.
